Being honest isn’t always a bad thing, but at times she gets herself into trouble. Kestrel can only keep secrets if no one asks her any questions, but otherwise will spill out everything on her mind.

Kestrel is a very loving feline. Whether it be intentional or not, she’s always offering food or other objects to those she thinks need it more. She also tends to be the romantic type.

Kestrel can get a little too protective, to the point of risking her own safety for others. But she doesn’t care all that much, as she’s tough and can handle herself.

While she isn’t too interested in a relationship yet, she does enjoy light flirting. She’ll flirt with anyone her age.

Kestrel is quite silly and playful, and spends most of her time with others making jokes and having fun. This trait now rarely shows itself, but it can come out occasionally.

Kestrel tends to drift into thought often. When this happens and someone snaps her out of it she doesn’t remember what she was thinking about, but sometimes remembers little bits and pieces from her thoughts.

Kestrel is determined to help everyone, and get whatever she sets her mind to. Generally her goals include helping others, but she also has goals for herself that she will never stop trying to achieve.

Kestrel has had to grow up fast. Becoming leader at such a young age, and surviving  through the loss of many empire mates she has become more adult-like than childlike. Though she's still able to be silly with close friends.

 Background Information  
Kestrel was born in Portus to two guards. She didn’t know her parents too well, as she was sold at a young age to a family in the same small town. Her name, Jasmine, was changed to Kestrel and she lived as a pet. She grew up with a young human child, who she bonded very closely to. They would do everything together, from sleeping to eating and going down to the water to catch fish. She was happy as a pet, for a long time. She was trained to be a courier and guard, and was good at them even at her young age. Kestrel and her human had started drifting apart. The child wouldn’t need Kestrels help anymore, and Kestrel was often out being a courier and guard and didn’t have time to go fishing anymore.

Eventually Kestrels parents came back, and lived with Kestrel for some time. But her father was loud, and not all too nice. Kestrel had eventually had enough and left the small town. She’d run into a small group of cats calling themselves ‘’Fire Empire Gladiators’ and she spoke with them for some time. Eventually they all went back to the ‘Fire Empire Camp’ and Kestrel showed them she could fish. Not long after she met Yuamn, who showed her around a little bit. Kestrel then joined the empire, to learn their ways.

After only a year in the empire she watched many of her empire mates disappear or get captured. She'd learned everything there was to learn about the empire, and to everyone's surprise, Mirum entrusted her to lead the empire just after graduating to a gladiator.

• Kestrel is small for her sub-species, but is about as large as the average amur leopard.
• Often uses ‘sir’ and ‘ma am’ when talking to those older than her who she is only acquaintances with.
• Very musical, and enjoys singing.
  
• Very good at jumping and catching bugs and birds
  
• Really loves cuddles and naps

• Really loves swimming, and swims a lot.
• Her bird skull is made of wood and was found on a caravan raid, then altered by the blacksmith to fit Kestrel

Kestrel can jump really high, and it helps her to climb trees and jump walls.

[Camouflage]
With her pelt being a lighter brown she’s fairly good at camouflage in wheat fields and thick forest, and especially in the winter. Only thing is her lighter accents are hard to hide unless she’s up in the trees. She often rolls in mud to mask her pelt.
